GPS Monitoring

Your Concierge Companion has a built-in GPS (Global Positioning System). That means that anyone who you grant permission, can locate you with the help of a computer or smartphone.

Your device’s position is tracked by satellites and sent to us. This makes it easy for us to locate you quickly in an emergency, like if your fall detection alerts us and you are unconscious so we cannot communicate.

Movement monitoring

Traditional fall-detection devices rely on phone lines and only work in the home. The combination of cellular networks and GPS makes your Concierge Companion work also when you are outside. If you are out of town, we will find the proper help depending on your location.

Your privacy is our highest priority. If you so choose, no one will have access to your GPS location. You can allow us to access it in emergencies only.

Maybe you also want your personal nurse to have access. That way she can use the monitoring information from your movement to see how much you get around and at what times of day you are the most active. This can give valuable input when she adjusts your care program from month to month.

Mnemonic device

Your trusted persons can locate you via their computers or smartphones. We connect the GPS data to Google Maps where they easily can find their loved one. This is especially helpful for clients with varying degrees of Alzheimer’s, dementia or autism.

We can set up a perimeter around your house, so we will be alerted if unwanted wandering occurs. Anyone who has received the number to your Concierge Companion can call it up and talk directly to you if you choose to answer.

The digital trail that your GPS leaves can also be a valuable memory tool for you. If you want to know where you were – let us say 3 p.m. two Tuesdays ago – you can just log in and follow the dots. If you want, you can choose to have this trail deleted after a certain time.
